These Terms of Use (an end-user license agreement, "Terms") govern your use of the Murmuro mobile app. By downloading or using Murmuro, you agree to them. They're written to be read — the short version really is the deal.
Murmuro ("the app", "we", "us") is an audio-recording and on-device transcription app for iOS and Android, published by Sqora Pro. These Terms are an agreement between you and us — not between you and Apple Inc. or Google LLC — and they cover the app, including the free tier and Murmuro Pro. How we handle information is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Murmuro on devices you own or control, for your own use, in accordance with these Terms and the applicable app store's rules. We (and our licensors) keep all rights in the app itself — its code, design, and branding. The app includes open-source components (for example the whisper.cpp speech-recognition engine), which remain under their own licenses.
Murmuro is a tool: it records what you tell it to record and transcribes it on your device. You are solely responsible for what you record. Laws about recording conversations differ by country and state — many places require the consent of everyone being recorded. Make sure you have the right to record before pressing the button. Your recordings and transcripts belong to you; we claim no rights over them and, as the Privacy Policy explains, we never receive them.
The free tier is fully functional with limits (for example recording length and model selection). Murmuro Pro unlocks the full feature set. Pro is offered as:
Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged within 24 hours before the new period starts. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. An unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. If a price changes, the store will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before charging the new price. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we don't process payments and cannot issue refunds directly.
Pro is tied to your store account (Apple ID or Google account) via its purchase history. Use "Restore purchases" in the app to re-activate Pro on a new or reset device signed into the same store account. Purchases on one platform's store can't be transferred to the other platform.
Speech recognition, speaker labeling, and summaries are automatic and will contain errors — especially with noise, accents, overlapping speakers, or specialized vocabulary. The app's output is a convenience, not a record of legal, medical, or other professional quality. Always verify the text against the audio before relying on it, and do not use Murmuro as the sole basis for decisions where an error could cause harm.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Murmuro is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost data, lost profits, or damages arising from transcription errors or unlawful recording by users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, to the minimum recognized by law). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Your purchase and download are also subject to Apple's or Google's own terms. Additionally, for users on iOS: these Terms are between you and us only — Apple is not a party, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims). In case of the app's failure to conform to a warranty, Apple may refund your purchase price and has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country and are not on any restricted-parties list.
These Terms apply for as long as you use the app. We may terminate the license if you materially breach them. You can end them at any time by deleting the app (remember: that does not cancel an active subscription). Sections 4 and 7–10 survive termination.
We keep improving Murmuro; features may change, and features marked as free or Pro may evolve over time — though we won't take away Pro entitlements you have already paid for. If we materially change these Terms, we'll update the date above and communicate significant changes in the app or the store listing. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live somewhere whose consumer-protection law gives you mandatory rights or a different venue, those rights are unaffected.
