Something not working, or a question the app doesn't answer? Email us — a real person reads every message.
We aim to reply within two business days. It helps to include your device model, your OS version, and the app version — you'll find the version in Settings → About.
Murmuro transcribes on your device, so it needs a speech-recognition model stored locally. The first download happens over the internet and can be several hundred megabytes, so use Wi‑Fi if you can. After that, transcription works fully offline.
Larger models are more accurate but need considerably more memory, and the largest ones need roughly 880 MB of free RAM. On devices with less memory available, pick a smaller model in the model picker. Long recordings are processed in windows, so you can leave the screen and come back.
Yes. Murmuro detects the language automatically by default, and you can set it explicitly for a recording. The multilingual model handles a wide range of languages; accuracy varies by language and audio quality.
It splits a transcript by who is speaking, so a conversation reads as separate turns rather than one block of text. Like everything else in Murmuro, it runs entirely on your device.
Open the upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to the store account that made them, so make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account you bought with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us with the store receipt and we'll sort it out.
Subscriptions are billed by the app store, not by us, so they're managed there:
Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment — Apple or Google — under their own policies. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: Play refund request. If a refund is refused and you think that's wrong, tell us and we'll help where we can.
Your recordings and transcripts never leave your device — we can't see them, and we can't recover them for you. That also means we can't restore a transcript you've deleted. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Use cover the rest.
No. Transcription, speaker labels and summaries all run on your device: the speech models are downloaded once and run locally, and summaries use your device's built-in on-device AI (Apple Intelligence on iOS, Gemini Nano on Android) or a summarizer inside the app. Murmuro uses no third-party AI service, and nothing you record or transcribe is uploaded anywhere. The only data that ever leaves your device is an anonymous crash report if the app crashes, and the store receipt that unlocks Murmuro Pro.
Crash reports reach us automatically and anonymously, but they don't say what you were trying to do. If you hit something reproducible, an email describing the steps is far more useful than the crash log alone.
